Buckie And District Pipe Band
The Buckie and District Pipe Band comes from the small fishing town of Buckie, Moray, in the North East of Scotland. Our members come from other various towns in the surrounding area; from Portsoy to Fochabers to Elgin. The pipe band was founded in 1988 and is still going strong today. New recruits are always welcome in the ranks.
The Band practices every Thursday night in the British Legion Hall in Buckie. If you are interested in learning the pipes or drums then you are more than welcome to come to our practices. Use the Contact Us link to find out more.
We attend many events throughout the local area including local galas and fetes, charity events and of course, the annual Highland Games at Dufftown, Aberlour, Nethy-Bridge, Nairn and Grantown. We also host the annual Pipe Band Ceilidh which always sees a good attendance from friends and associates of the band.
The Band has also been known to travel abroad by invitation, with such events being very successful, although perhaps slightly surprising to the locals! Our most recent trip was to Sint-Michielsgestel in Holland.
Anyway, we hope you enjoy our website, and as they say in Buckie: 'Haste Ye Back'
